2:45PM - Haiti

I donated to the disaster relief fund with the Red Cross.  I felt compelled for a lot of reasons.  Most importantly, what little I can contribute will go a lot further than it would here- and do something now to help all those in need of medical care, food, shelter and anything else!

4:12PM

Thought I would throw it out there...seeking some unofficial legal feedback....
what, if any juristriction, does the maryland police have on obtaining records from a US citizen who has been working in various countries overseas for military contractors?

He is NOT in the military, he is a civilian.  There have been some domestic abuse charges as well as assaults on other employees...can a maryland detective obtain that information to be used for an ongoing case here in the US (State of Maryland)?

4:12PM - Please come home safe...I have not forgotten you

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NCZ4l8FCFc

I remember living in Japan in 1979-1981 when my father was deloyed for the Iran/Iraq contra
we went to the Phillipines in 1981 and I saw yellow ribbons everywhere.
It was then, that I understood what my father represented to me and our country.
To those still out there...
Please come home, soon, safe and know I have NOT FORGOTTEN WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

12:41PM - WHEW!

Yesterday Michael and I went to 4QF and broke it all down.  We rented a cargo van to move it all!
For those that have been to our site, we have A LOT of stuff!
it was sad but it was also such hard WORK!!!
it took both us 7.5 hours!
when we got home we showered and passed OUT!

We took the cargo van to my work this morning- unloaded and took the cargo van back.
I cannot believe how much shit we have.
We have to launder our sleeping bags and hose down some tarps, the pop up and the tent to be sure they are stored dry.

I cannot get over how long and how hard that was.
Glad to be done and have it safe from flooding.
That would have SUCKED to lose our shit for a 3rd time!!!!!!!!!!!!

well as sad it was it was nice to see the land, Em, Aero and Carrie :)
sweet dreams land, sleep well and restful until I see you awake for Beltaine!

Wow what a relationship. I remember the fun high school days! I married a gal who went to Broadneck her name is katie, she is not into anything like your relationship. My wife is uptight and strieght as an arrow. We live in Baltimore City in Medfield. I am looking for a new job this office crap is getting to me! After High School I went into the Marines for 4 years. I spent most of my time in the Middle East. Now the most I do is go for a run and lift some weights in my basement for fun. Can you believe the Class of 88 is haven there 20 year reunion next month.

11:52AM - Where were you?

This day 7 years ago, where were you?

I was living in Juneau Alaska that day. The house I was living in did not have a TV only a phone. I received a call from my then b'f's brother to come over right away.
My family and recent exes family lived near the Pentagon and my father used to work there. The wing where his office was, was destroyed.
I watched a young man walking across the Key Bridge (looked like my brother but knew it couldn't be as he lived in Alaska with me)
he had a large american flag around his shoulders like a cape. He was not leaving DC, but heading into it.
I lost it that day. Being so far away from my family and loved ones.
The phones were jammed that day in Juneau. I felt the shock and fear 4000 miles away and always will.
all my love to those that lost their lives and those that lost their loved ones and those that lost a little piece of themselves.

10:17AM - misc...

I feel SO much better.  I opted not to go to the doctor as I stopped puking and what fever I had has left me!
I snuggled so cozy with the boy last night and enjoyed myself wonderfully even though I had nightmares, I woke with love instead of fear and anxiety. Although I was filled with the latter,  I was able to rationalize my fears before waking up scared.
It was so nice to nuzzle with the boy and feel safe, even though he often plays a weird role in my horrific dreams, I do know that that is not the man I married.  I hope this is progress.
Additionally, I booked the tickets for our trip to Vegas for my brother's wedding the weekend of October 10-12th.  That will be a good time, I am sure.
This weekend we are renting a van and taking the truck to the farm to get our gear packed and out of there before it gets too cold and crappy. (Saturday)
I cleaned half the apartment last night- did 2 loads of laundry, vacuumed dining room kitchen and bathroom.  I also made an oven roaster chicken with stuffing for dinner.
tonight- I put away all the laundry, finish the living room and bedroom (vacuum) and may be watch the Sex in the City movie that Michael downloaded for me.
left overs sounds nummy with a nice salad I think.  comfort food for an overcast day.
